Graphite laminated butterfly valve seals
introducing
Richard Miles’ offset valve product range includes double and triple offset valve seals, solid metal seats and disc seals, the critical sealing solution used in butterfly valves.
Our handmade laminated seals are precision machined to your requirements. Traditionally a metallic skinned sealing layer, predominantly ASTM B443 N06625 (Inconel 625) and graphite are precision water jet cut before a final five axis machining operation on the sealing face. For the most demanding applications, the mating part/disc seal is manufactured alongside its partner. All manufactured tolerances are validated by coordinate measuring machine (CMM) before delivery.

Precision manufacturing
We comprehend then meet the critical technical requirements of the sealing face through precision clamping and machining of the laminate. Solid seals, disc/body seats, and clamp rings are supplied fully machined according to customer drawings. Our machining capabilities cover both inner and outer sealing surfaces for consistent bi-directional sealing.

Secondary metal seats
Our secondary metal seats are meticulously crafted through a spun metal manufacturing process, ensuring a flawlessly flat and scratch-free surface, irrespective of diameter.
Achieving a 0.15mm tolerance between critical radii on the valve disc seals, our precision waterjet-cut and spun metal valve seats are available in various metals detailed in the material chart. These products span a complete range of diameters, from 2” / 50mm to 60” / 1,500mm.
