Versatile Sealing Blanks
RiMi Rings™ are an innovative solution for customers who require high-performance triple offset valve seals but prefer to manage the final machining in-house.
These standardised blanks are manufactured using the same proven materials and five-ply construction as our fully machined seals. RiMi Rings™ offer a cost-effective and time-sensitive alternative, allowing maintenance managers and valve manufacturers to add their own triple offset geometry and fastening holes to a proven base component.
The RiMi Ring™ Concept: Engineering Flexibility
In many maintenance and repair scenarios, speed of delivery is as critical as technical precision.
RiMi Rings™ provide the “blank” canvas required to solve sealing challenges quickly. Each ring is supplied as a five-ply disc, ready for the customer to apply their specific triple offset geometry. This approach is particularly valuable for:
- Valve Manufacturers: Who want to maintain stock of high-quality sealing material that can be adapted to various valve models.
- Maintenance Managers: Who need to replicate a legacy seal profile on-site or through a local machine shop.
- Research and Development: For engineers testing new valve designs who require a reliable sealing material foundation.
Material Variants and Five-Ply Construction
RiMi Rings™ are available in the same high-specification material variants as our headline product range.
Every ring features our signature five-ply laminate structure, ensuring maximum mechanical strength and sealing integrity.
- Graphite Variant: Utilising 1mm Inconel® Alloy 625 or 1.2mm Monel® Alloy 400 layers paired with 1mm SGL Carbon Grade Z Graphite. This variant is rated for temperatures up to +450°C.
- PTFE Variant: Utilising 0.9mm Alloy 316 Stainless Steel layers paired with 1mm PTFE. This variant is ideal for corrosive and saltwater applications up to +260°C.
By using RiMi Rings™, you are guaranteed the same material purity and construction quality found in our bespoke, fully machined seals.

Standard Sizing and Dispatch Advantages
Because RiMi Rings™ are produced as standardised blanks, we can maintain inventory levels that allow for faster dispatch than fully machined bespoke orders.
We offer RiMi Rings™ in a range of external diameters which covers the vast majority of standard triple offset butterfly valve applications.
Each RiMi Ring™ is validated via Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to ensure the flat blank meets our internal manufacturing tolerances of +0.50mm -1.50mm for the outside diameter and -0.50mm +1.50mm for the inside diameter.
